Meet Simmone & Spike

Simmone Vallauri is the head trainer and owner of NJ Dog Academy, LLC. Simmone has had a love for animals since childhood, owning a variety of different animals, as well as rescuing strays. After attending University of Connecticut & Pace University she decided to pursue her dream of working with animals, and more specifically canines, full time. Simmone attended CATCH University for Dog Trainers, an on campus, hands-on intensive course. At CATCH, Simmone was instructed by David Muriello and Pia Silvani on how dogs learn based upon science, obedience training, as well as behavioral modifications. Simmone is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and a CATCH Hands- On Course Graduate . Simmone adopted Spike from St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in October 2015.
